Peer Review Policy
Peer Review Process
Publication of an article in Al-Mubadara Journal depends solely on its scientific validity and coherence being assessed by the editors and/or bestary partners, who will also assess whether the writing is comprehensible and whether the work is a useful contribution to the field. The Al-Mubadara: Jurnal Kewirausahaan Sosial appreciates the efforts and suggestions made by the reviewers.
Initial Evaluation of Manuscripts
The editor will evaluate all submitted manuscripts first. Although rare, it is possible for exceptional manuscripts to be accepted at this stage. Manuscripts that are rejected at this stage are those that lack originality, have serious scientific flaws, or fall outside the purpose and scope of Al-Mubadara Journal. Manuscripts that meet the minimum criteria will be forwarded to experts for review.
Type of Peer Review
Submitted manuscripts will generally be reviewed by two to three experts who will be asked to evaluate whether the manuscript is scientifically sound and coherent, whether it duplicates published works, and whether it is clear enough for publication. The method used is blind peer review.
Review Reports
Reviewers are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript:
- Original by clearly stating the objectives and gaps
- Methodologically sound
- Follows appropriate ethical guidelines
- Has results/findings that are clearly presented and support the conclusions 4.
- Correctly refer to relevant previous work
Reviewers are not expected to proofread or copyedit the manuscript. Language correction is not part of the peer review process.
Decision
Reviewers advise the editor, who is responsible for the final decision to accept or reject the article. The editor will make a decision based on these reports and, if necessary, they will consult with members of the Editorial Board. The editor's decision is final.

The benefits of being a reviewer for Al-Mubadara include the opportunity to see and evaluate the latest work in related research areas at an early stage, and being recognized in our reviewer list. You can also cite your work for Al-Mubadara as part of your professional development requirements. Al-Mubadara reviewers are volunteers who contribute their expertise to science, so there is no financial payment.
